I am looking for a congregation that is willing to ask, “What if?” and a staff that thrives on collaboration. I seek a congregation in which transformational leadership is welcomed, even encouraged; a place where people’s gifts are drawn out of them not just to serve the congregation, but also to help them realize their full potential. I want to work with those around me to create a community that people take home with them, and where they see the things they already love represented in church worship, faith development, religious education, and all the many facets of congregational life.
I want to help build a covenanted community that doesn’t cease to exist at the edge of the property, but rather is lived out in the daily lives of its congregants. My vision is of a covenant that is intentionally multi-generational, from cradle to grave, with worship that reflects and celebrates the diversity of our experiences as well as our theologies. I want to serve a community where people feel safe enough to share their own stories and create space to hear the stories of others. I want to engage people in the formation of Unitarian Universalist identity and meaning through worship attendance, workshops, classes, small group ministries, and new ways of gathering and connecting that we will create together.
